About Natalia Brooks
Chapter 1: The Artist
It all began with abstract
paintings — a continuous search for beauty through colour and form.
Each piece originates from an idea — sometimes appearing spontaneously at the
canvas, sometimes inspired by the world around, and at times created as private
commissions. A painting is considered complete only when it evokes a powerful
emotion and embodies beauty on the canvas.
These early works laid the foundation for what would eventually grow into a
broader creative journey.
Chapter 2: A Dialogue with Collectors
Natalia Brooks works are
exhibited internationally, and exhibitions have always been an opportunity for
dialogue with viewers and collectors, sparking new ideas and possibilities.
At some point, the idea arose to create small corporate gifts for clients,
along with a growing desire to share her art with the world.
Permanent displays
include Linea Gallery in Morges and Art Gallery
Parazar in Lausanne — welcoming spaces that nurture creativity,
friendship, and inspiring encounters.
Chapter 3: The Scarves
The growing desire to share art beyond galleries led to the creation of silk scarves featuring Natalia Brooks’ paintings.
The proximity of Como, Italy — renowned for its centuries-long tradition of silk weaving and printing — made it possible to bring the first collection of scarves to life.
The artworks naturally aligned with contemporary fashion trends, transforming into striking designs for luxurious silk accessories.
Sometimes the scarves found a new home on walls, when their owners chose to frame them as works of art.
Silk proved to be a unique medium, capable of carrying both the artistic depth of the original paintings and the elegance of fashion, opening new possibilities for the brand’s creative journey.
Chapter 4: Clothing
The next natural
step after creating scarves was to bring the paintings to clothing. This allowed
the artistic message to be amplified, making the imagery and emotions of the
works feel even closer and more tangible for people.
For one of the
exhibitions, the very first kimono — “Neptune’s Garden” — was created from
Italian silk, based on the painting of the same name. And something unexpected
happened: the kimono was sold right at the exhibition, as it was being worn by
the artist herself. In this way, the exhibition became a kind of showcase for
the very first sale of Art Wear.
From that moment,
the concept of Art Wear by Natalia Brooks as a full-fledged brand was born: silk
accessories and clothing carrying original artworks. Today, the collection is
made to order and follows a slow-fashion philosophy — emphasizing quality, sustainability,
and respect for art.
